Track grocery orders and split the basket

A quick-commerce order often contains a mix of household essentials and personal items. BasketBalance brings supported order history together with expense splitting, so your group can work out who owes what from the actual basket.

From order history to a shared expense

  1. Sign in to BasketBalance and open Orders.
  2. Connect a supported provider using the connection option shown in the app, or use an available order import.
  3. Choose an order and review its items and total.
  4. Select the group and choose who shares each item.
  5. Check the final shares before saving the expense.

Provider access and connection methods can change. The app shows the options available for each integration. Saved orders remain available when a provider is temporarily unavailable; fetching newer orders requires a working connection.

Groceries are not always an equal split

Suppose a ₹900 basket contains ₹300 of shared staples, ₹200 of Anne's items and ₹400 of Lily's items. If Anne and Lily share the staples equally, Anne's share is ₹350 and Lily's is ₹550 before any additional fees or discounts. Keeping the items visible makes it easier to check the result together.

Check fees, discounts and changes

Delivery charges, packaging charges and discounts can make a receipt total different from the sum of its items. Review these amounts against the provider receipt. If an order is refunded, cancelled or adjusted later, check the related group expense too. A change to saved order details does not silently rewrite an expense you already shared.

An order tracker for shared spending

Here, order tracking means reviewing purchase history and its costs. BasketBalance is not a live courier map or a promise of delivery status updates from every quick-commerce service. It also does not automatically read your bank account or UPI transaction history.

Chat-based Swiggy shopping is being prepared and depends on provider approval. It should not be confused with the order history and expense splitting you can use now. You do not need chat ordering to record a grocery expense.
